Default cluster upgrade

I just put a 97 blazer clulster (w/tach) in my 95 blazer, everything is working correctly accept now my fuel gage is very erratic. Its like it reacts to the movement of the fuel with alot of sensitivity. If your just going down the road it reads correctly, but starting and stopping its all over the place.Any ideas on what may be going on?

I think I remember reading about the older pre-97 clusters having a resistor circuit in the cluster to dampen the motion of the fuel gauge and that the 97+ had this in the PCM to temper the reading... I could be wrong though...

There is a resistor on both clusters, andthier the same ohms and their in the same location. I don't know if its for the fuel gauge because its sort of in the center and the fuel gauge is on the end. The fuel gauge still works but it drives me freakin crazy, well I guess I can allways go back to the junkyard....
