The service engine soon light came on in my 99 blazer so I brought up the code which read torque converter circuit malfunction. The truck had been sitting for about 2 months due to other work I was doing to it so I just cleared the code when done and have been driving it ever since. I've put about 60 miles on it since clearing the code and it's smooth and all seams fine. Now here is my question, I'm due for an Ill. emissions test in Feb. How many miles do I have to put on it to determin that everything is ok and the code won't pop up again and how many miles should I put on it before taking it in for the test ? I heard the will fail it if they detect that the coces have been cleared.

It isn't so much about the distance as much as about what is accomplished (system status wise) during your travels. Certain tests require certain conditions. If you do not have access to a scan tool to check the status of the system monitors or you still have monitors that are showing 'not ready', run through the GM Drive Cycle a few times.
