codes
question about some codes my truck threw. its a 99 2wd blazer. it threw a P0300 and a P0440 the only thing these two codes have in common is a possible vacuum leak. It doesn't drive abnormally or feel like it has the random miss fire like it claims. New cap, rotor, plugs, wires.... What else could be causing a "Vacuum leak" causing this code to appear?

RE: codes
Welcome to my world. 440 can be a bad gas cap, purge solenoid on the fuel pump, vacuum leak, etc.
IF you figure out a fix for it, PLEASE post the fix. I've given up on mine(and it doesn't seem to affect performance).

RE: codes
P0440 is an EVAP code check gas cap and the rest of the vacuum lines in the evap circuit

RE: codes
Run a search for the code #'s, I know we have discussed both of these quite extensively before.

RE: codes
little off topic but i have a question. see i just got a 1995 blazer lt 4x4 has a new motor (vtech) and a tranny rebuilt 50,000 km ago. but the check engine light is on. question one is there a way to check the error codes with the ignition and counting the blinking lights?
question 2 i have 3 buttons for 4 wheel drive 2, 4hi, 4lo when i am at stand still i pushed 4lo it blinks few times and 4hi lights up and stays on also is there suposed to be a light for 2 wd ?

RE: codes
Kracked Jack, have a look at THIS THREAD for information on 95 codes. Please post a separate thread with your other questions. They really have nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
