Cold air intake
I was beginning to think about this today as well after my template was in question. I wonder if extra air in needs to be compensated by having free-flowing exhaust. Maybe at least a larger Y-pipe and possibly the bends that route over top of the axle. All kinds of kinks and mangled pipe throughout if you take a look at it.
Also curious if CAI is overkill in the winter...

You cannot overkill an intake system in terms of cold air. As close to ambient as you can get, the better it is for the engine's efficiency. And a more free flowing exhaust will definitely complement the intake more.
What Would really be neat is if you istall a Dual Air Intake System, Then Headers, eliminate the Y Pipe and let each header have its own pipe, then a Hi Flow Catalyic Converter on the end with the O2 Sensorto a Cat-Back Exhaust. No Need To Delete any O2 Sensors in the Computer at all. Do All of this with a PCM Tune and youll really Put some horses up

to some extent, yes it would If your looking for all out HP, Removing any restrictions is a neccessity. the Y Pipe does offer restriction into the system. A True Dual Exhaust Will Eliminate any backpressure, Pipes go straight out the back. However I Would Not Reccomend this set-up for any towing. I Am Going to add A Set Of Headers, Hi-Flow Cat, and Gibson Exhaust ( Single Side Swept) I might be towing so i need this type of setup.
