Default Collapsed lifter

I am going to make a very long story short. I just got done putting and did put new lifters in and one is not pumping up and can be pushed in be hand. Is there any way of fixing this without changing it out? When I first started the engine after putting it in the lifter noise started and never stopped. Oh, I have a 99 blazer 4wd with the 4.3.

If one lifter is not pumping up then it is probably due to lack of oil pressure. Probably bad bearing fed from same oil passage. Doesn't matter if you just put them in. Your story is a little confusing to me. Not sure if you replaced the engine that had the nut run through it or if this is the engine you said had new bottom end parts.

It was the engine that was repaired and the head redone. The oil pressure is fine on the engine, the other lifter is ok.

Why don't you just put another lifter in it. I imagine you can get the parts store you bought them from to warranty it. If the new lifter remains collapsed you will have to blame oil pressure for that lifter. If it fixes it then great.

That's encouraging. There's a 94 full size truck selling for $800 that's in great shape except for the lifter issue. Considering buying it. Thanks!
