My compass is reading the wrong direction, how do i reset it?

 

Not to sure, but have you tried disconnecting the power wire from the batt?

 

Find an open parking lot, drive a slow 360 (maybe two) and it will reset itself.

 

Good thing I live on a dead end street that at the end is a circle. When the "C" comes up, I just drive there (Maybe 50-75 ft) and drive around in circle until its fix.

 

My Caravan comes up with the "C" very rarely (maybe twice in 5 years), the owner's manual says to drive slowly in a tight 360 3 times. Never looked in the Blazer manual cuz I knew how to fix it, it happens more in the Blazer. Go figure.

 

The owners manual in my 99 says just that... 3x in a tight circle.

 

my owners manual (97 blazer) says to hold the on/off and met/US buttons until the unit rests, anywhere from 5-15 seconds.

Then it says if that does not fix the problem to drive ina slow 360 circle 3 times or until the compass resets.
