Default Correct sway bar bushing sizes

I have a 2002 4dr 4x4 blazer that I am looking to replace the sway bar bushings on. Perhaps someone can clarify the correct sizes I need. Rockauto lists 1 1/16, 1 3/16, 1 5/16, 1 1/4, 1 1/8, 28mm, 33mm.

I took a caliper to both the front and rear bars.

The front is ~1.36 - 1.4"
While the rear is ~ .91 - .93"

I called the dealer and they gave me PN 15010349 (33.5 mm) for the front and 15697706 (not sure on this size) for the rear. I think its a safe bet to say the 33.5 mm is what I need for the front. The back has me stumped though. Is there a better way to determine the correct bushing size? Are the bushing sizes based on "handling preference" or strictly by suspension option? As far as I know, I have standard suspension. BTW, what is "problem solver" in terms of sway bar links and bushings? Thanks in advance for the help.

*bump*

Nobody's changed their sway bar bushings or ran into size discrepancies?

I've changed sway bar bushings, but always just asked for the part for my blazer. The rear I got a poly kit from summit and the front I got a polly end link kit from Napa (I haven't done the bar to frame mount).

When you measured, did you measure right where the bushing wraps around the bar?

I think problem solver usually means that it's designed to last longer than a generic wearable part.

Still havent gotten around to changing these. I was under the car this morning changing my sway bar links and I realized I never did determine the correct size of the bushings. To answer your question, I did measure the bar right at the bushing with my calipers. I am still measuring 1.4" for the front (36mm) and .90" for rear (23mm). The only sizes listed that I can find for 4x4 are 33mm and 28mm. I guess I should assume these are the right sizes. Anyone have any thoughts?

sway bars are useless... They get in the way of bigger tires...

??? Not in the slightest. For offroad only, I could see the point as they can limit articulation, but for on road... They are an important aspect of the vehicle, especially those with a higher center of gravity than stock. Unless you ALWAYS drive in a straight line...

As far as the original question. I suspect the sway bar diameter quoted by just about every parts store & dealer out there is not including the paint. The 33mm bushings should be what you need.

Actually, I never noticed a difference when I removed mine... But I was joking around, as saying everyone should be off road...lol
