Cost of replacing Motor Mounts??
What is the cost from a mechanic for replacing the motor mounts on a 2000 blazer?? just an estimate is fine. Sounds expensive but I have no idea, never had this done before. I know new motor mount parts are like $34.99 to $49.99. Wonder how much labor and all that is? thanks.

RE: Cost of replacing Motor Mounts??
Per side 1.4hrs standard
Both sides 2.7hrs standard
At $60/hr, that is $84 for one side and $162 for both. That is based off of book time for this repair and is just the labor. The cost will depend on the shop and if they use book time or not.

RE: Cost of replacing Motor Mounts??
Are motor mounts that hard to replace? Better yet, are the motor mounts the metal 'dog bones' that hold the engine up from the frame? It sounds right..but I only ask cause on my old school Pontiac 6000 (granted it was an '87)? We replaced the '87's dog bones by just levering up the engine with a 4x4 block of wood to take the pressure off, and swapped em out.
Havn't looked at the blazer's recently, so I'm just curious (read 'most likely wrong')

The mounts are not as easy as they were on your Pontiac that is for sure. They are off either side of the engine block between the frame and the side of the block. Space is the main problem with these mounts as they are pretty well boxed in by quite a few different things (exhaust manifold, power steering pump, etc).
