Body mounts...worth replacing?
I was under my blazer last night fixing my fuel line that came off my fuel filter while I was driving, not sure how that happened.
But anyways I noticed that all my body mounts are busted, cracked and some pieces are missing. Is it worth replacing them and is it hard to replace? I priced the energy suspension mount and they are high.
Its a 2001 Xtreme Blazer.
Thanks

Yes, if they are in bad shape as you described, they are worth replacing. They are in multiple pieces. The bottom part--the part you see from underneath-- is easy to replace. the upper parts are much more complicated. Take a look at the shop manual or if you don't have one, get a helpful parts counterman to pull up the diagram and see the exploded view for your Blazer. I think you can get just the bottom half. On the Energy Suspension body mounts and other aftermarket replacements, they are very hard plastic, not rubber, as the OEM ones. They tend to squeak after awhile and that is one thing a Blazer doesn't need--- another Squeak.
