Default a couple of issues, need some help

I have a 95 Blazer, after driving for a little bit and i get out i smell gas, what could that be? I have been doing some reading and i see that people have had issues with something on the gas tank? Could that be my problem? How much time and money goes into fixing that?

Also on the drivers side in the rear by the back bumper i noticed that a black box fell, What is it? What should i use to mount it back up there?

Replacing oil cooler lines, is that an easy job? I noticed that mine have oil build up on them and i am going to replace them before something bad happens.

The loose black box and your smell of fuel could be connected. The black box is your evaporative emissions canister. The EVAP system manages fuel vapors to make sure that they do not get released outside of the system. If the system has been compromised, then fuel vapors can escape, potentially allowing you to smell it.

The oil lines can be fun. It is a challenge to get the mounting bolt at the adapter near the back of the engine.

What do i need to do so i can get rid of the fuel smell? How should i go about mounting that back up? Is there something i need to look for? Like a conector or something on the gas tank that could be causing the smell? A part that needs to be replaced?

Chances are, the mount is broken. You can either replace the broken pieces or rig something up to hold it in place. Any broken lines need to be replaced.
