Cranks but wont start

Thanks for your help.

#1 Both have battery voltage (about 12.6)

#2 There was very little resistance (much less than 5, but I forgot to write down the exact value)

#3 & #4 The light blinked for every test

Just making sure... in step #1, did both pink wires show battery voltage in both the RUN and START positions?

I think the problem is a short in the engine wiring harness. It appears to have been rubbing through on the back of the engine near the distributor. I would like to remove the harness and try to fix the short, but part of the harness goes down near the firewall and appears to go back to the transmission and I am not sure how to go about removing it with the engine still in the vehicle. Any idea how to go about removing the wiring harness without removing the engine?
