cranks and cranks and cranks
2001 blazer-80,000 miles-run ok- stranded me -got it towed home-started it and it started-then it wouldnt-so we changed the fuel filter-started up-drove it to work for 2 days no problems now back to the endless cranking.from what ive read on here it sounds like probably the fuel pump but i also read about a fuel pressure regulator-not looking forward to changing fuel pump but i read about water in the gas and we just had a huge rain???any thoughts would be very much appreciated

do you have fuel pressure at the rail. check with a fuel pressure gague. If you have none could be bad relay or bad pump. If you have fuel pressure but will not fire up could be a bad ignition control module. Check out this website to troubleshoot it.
Part 1 -GM 4.3L, 5.0L & 5.7L Ignition Control Module (ICM) Test.
Apparently they are known for going bad when they heat up. Start you but when you heat up the car you can crank with no start. Good luck
