I've not done the upgrade myself but I am pretty sure that the LIM stays put.

Let me know how the balance test comes out when you pulse the injectors. That's the last test before tearing into the intake manifold. Your doing a good job of analyzing your problem so that you can confirm the correct repair.

Update. Learned the issue may be bad gas.. My lil girl had the same problem with her car. Her shop found it was bad gas. She was driving my blazer when it acted up. Asked if she fueled blazer from same station she says "Yes". So in the process of trying to draining my tank, I blew a fuse or something when I tried the "Paper Clip" trick.Now I get no power to fuel pump when I turn the key . any ideas what I did?

Paper clip- pull fuel pump relay and jump to keep fuel pump running... I did not learn of the female plug next to FP relay. Ok George I will check now TY

Found ECM 1 fuse blown. I will go get some fresh gas and report back. Thank You again George!!

If the fuel pump is working I pump bad gas out through the fuel rail schrader using a cutoff old HVAC charging hose. Careful.

I drained from filter connection. Update.... Fresh gas and it's alive!! Running like crap but running. Got a po108 code.
