Default Cranks, starts then stalls...

So the last few nights here in detroit have been cold. Each time ive gone to start my truck it cranks and starts but will die if i let off the key when i normally do. The fuel pump is newer. After about 3-4 attempted starts it starts up and runs like normal with no issues at all. I put the truck under some load to see if it was a pump and im pretty sure that isnt it. It checked the lines and see no obvious fuel leaks. Before i run out and buy a fuel pressure gauge I was wondering if anyone has had any similar problems? Ive heard the fuel pressure regulators leak in colder climates.

Hey fletch think your going to have to borrow or buy the gage. Best 40 bucks I ever spent. When I first got my truck chased my tail for a long time because I had hard starts but once going would run flawless under load. It was the pump.

^^^^^^ Absolutely, that's why you need the gage to track it down.

Gas was leaking into the vacuum line off the regulator. Replaced the line and all problems went away. Gotta love the easy fixes. Replacing the regulator sometime next week for good measure. Thanks guys
