Default crazy fuel pump issue

i have read through all of the fuel related issues in here and couldnt find anything like mine. here is the deal. i have a 1999 chevy blazer 4.3 vortec 4dr 4wd. my fuel pump isnt working so i thought. i pulled it out of the tank and tested the pump by supplying a 12v power and it pumps just fine. so i tested the relay i took one out of my working 2000 s-10 still nothing, so i placed a volt meter at the wiring harnes that connects to the pump, turned the key on had my 12v for 2-3 seconds. relay working. connect the pump to the harness i get nothing. tested out the sending unit to see if it was grounding out the pump and it wasnt. so i have a working pump and relay but when i connect it all up i get nothing. i then sprayed starter fluid in it to start it got is started still no fuel pump. any help would be great im lost now and fed up. thanks

You may have to check for the ground to the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump at the rear connector.
I understand that you have a power supply, but it sounds like you've lost a ground somewhere in the system.

found the problem. it was a faulty power line. the grey +12v line that feeds the fuel pump, was replaced before i take it as there were about 4 butt connectors on it, and one was really loose the wire just fell out. replaced that wire and im up and running now. thanks for the help and hope this may help someone in the future.

had to peel back about 5 feet of tape to find it, better then buying a new pump though.
