Default Damn ABS & Brake light!!!

I've been reading about this issue and i'm about lost....

Somedays I wont see the light at all and others, i'll hit a bump or make a turn and there it is. Sometimes when I start up it's there!!
Frustrating as hell.

Some people say its a ground wire issue others say heatsink issue in the module.
I've heard the ground wire is under the air filter housing or the battery tray...which one is it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanx!

A good place to start would be a scan of the ABS control module. That should get you a direction to go in. Anything else is just speculation and bound to waste time.

Check to see if your hubs are bad

jack up the front end till tire is off the ground, grab top and bottom of the tire and see if there`s play while someone looks to see if the axle is moving. If the axle moves up and down the hub is bad. This can cause the abs sensor to have play also. Sensor is connected to your hub. Check both sides

Will do tomorrow!
I could see if the hub is bad that could cause the ABS light but would that also cause both lights to come on?

Test the wheel speed sensors with a multimeter set to the mV-AC setting. Disconnect the WSS (wheel speed sensor) and connect the multimeter to the two leads in the connector to the sensor. Spin the wheel. The mV-AC output should be around 300mV for a properly working WSS. Check both.

If it is below 250mV-AC, then you have a sensor problem that could be due to excessive air gap between the sensor and the reluctor ring inside the hub.

BTW-The ground for the ABS module is on the drivers side rad support by the headlight under the airbox

But could that air gap cause both lights to illuminate?
