Default Dash lights out

The other day the dash lights stopped working on my 99 Blazer 4x4. I toggled the round dimmer switch and they flickered and then went out for good. This affects the dash, over head consol and also when I pull the door handle the lights don't come on.

My question, does the headlight switches go bad on these things? I'm thinking it is the switch/dimmer wheel, but don't want to spend the $$$ if there are other possible issues. I have checked the fuses and they are all good.

Yes in fact they go out all the time. I have had to have mine replaced twice in the last year. don't worry, you can get the switch on ebay or at a junkyard for cheap (around $15) and just replace it yourself.
