I'm thinking of getting a Deka Intimidator battery but I'm not sure it will fit in my 2004 Blazer seeing as it's a little bigger than the stock battery. Has anyone installed one in an 04? Any modification required or is it just a tight fit?

The Deka is designatedas a group34/78.

 

You should be able to use the 34/78 with no modifications. It will be top and side post and fit in your tray.

 

Alright I'm going to go ahead and order it tomorrow..can it use the same lockdown mechanism as the stock battery?

 

It should work.
