Default determining the correct engine for my 95

so ive determined my 1995 is either obd1.5 or obd2 (obd2 shaped dash plug and and computer on passenger side under hood ) and that none of the other 3 4.3 vortecs i have will work for this odd duck.

will any 95 engine with side mounted plugs work in her? there was no engine in the blazer when i got it so i cant check anything on the engine itself.

ps. this is a very hard topic to find info on beyond finding out that nothing besides 95 parts work in them lol

GM switched OBD systems in S&T bodies with a 4.3L in mid 95 to a half baked, OBD1.5 system all its own, (It's one of the reasons they didn't make the Bravada in 95). Only a mid to late 95 engine from an S or T body will work, (without doing some major fooling around with harnesses, sensors, PCM, and of course reprogramming). Easiest way to spot one in a boneyard is a 95 with the PCM on the passenger fender. Someone would have to be in your situation to actually WANT to find one of these things Probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's the sad truth. If you have any questions, just ask.
