Which Distributor cap on 95 4wd?
Getting new plug wires shouldent be this hard. Anyone have a clue if this should be a top plug, or side plug distibutor cap on my 95 4wd? The wireset they say is for my model wont fit my cap. are these caps interchangable? Or maybe my motor has been replaced. I have a vortec v6 4.3. I have a side plug distibutor.

what cap did you have on there, 95's could have vertical or horizontal tower caps and both use different wires you have to make sure you purchase the corresponding wireset

Apparently it depends on the vin code for the engine.
Vin code W=side plug.
Vin Code Z= vertical plug.
Vin code W=side plug.
Vin Code Z= vertical plug.

Look at the distributor. If your plug wires are coming out of the top of it, you have a top post distributor cap. If they are coming out the sides, you have a side post distributor cap.
