So i have had every possible thing with the 4x4 replaced, and on friday, i put it in 4 hi and it was working fine, i pull in shut it off in 4 hi for like 20 minutes, go back out start it up and the 4 hi light was on but only working as a 2 hi i was sliding in the snow and such, i thought it was icy out, but when i put my head out to look at the wheel it wasn't spinning while my back tires spun. I have about had it with this lemon any suggestions?

Sounds like the actuator at the front axle didn't stay engaged/re-engage when you restarted it. Did you try to put it in 2hi then back in 4hi? I think the actuator is vacum operated, so maybe you have a vacum leak somewhere. Just things to maybe help you in the process.

 

I would double check everything and try and put it in 4hi like you said you had it in!!!

 

So turns out the BRAND NEW actuator i put on back in december ripped, thank god i saved the old one, do you think the auto store will refund me or something because of this happening?

 

if it has a waranty on it and you saved the receipt they should. other wise you may be out of luck. Good to hear you found the problem.

 

I believe the recit is still in my blazer, if not i believe they took my number down and all in the computer, if not oh well, just sucks that a 15 year old piece of rubber is stronger then a 1 or so old piece of rubber. Thank god they weren't condoms lol

 

Glad you found out what was the problem, and the part store should warranty that part out and have all your info!! What part store did you go to get that part??
