door question
ok...I am going to try and explain this as best I can....
the top door hinge...it has a pin....and then it has an arm that is held to that pin with a spring......
the arm snapped off last night....well the spring fell out last night...who knows when the arm broke....
my question....
the door seems to be working fine...in fact it opens a lot easier......
1. is this something that I would have to buy a whole new hinge for? or just replace the part?..(it snapped off at the bolt)
2. if I don't fix it anytime soon...my door won't fall off will it?
thanks
(I think this fix will be added to the list of the fuel pump sender..the dent in the bumper....etc...oh man the list keeps getting longer..)

The parts you refer to are probably the door stop and spring - the pieces that stop the door at half-open or full-open. The next time you park on a hill and open that door, watch out, because it won't stay open - it will come back due to gravity and whack you. Probably something you DO wnat to have fixed, but you can get wrecking yard parts and be patient about doing it.
*phew* at least it won't fall off....talk about loosing pieces!! ah.....the door always swings and hits me at some point.....and I have a tendancy to forget my foot isn't quite in yet...and slam it in the door all the time....just making sure it won't fall off..thanks!!
thanks!! long live the white truck! yeah I already added the door hinge to the missing pieces pile.....ah well......just need 60,000 more before I will call it quits...110,000 still running trails....
Here's some general advice: if you want the car to last, DO NOT just drive it and let little things go unfixed. Soon they will add up and you'll decide that the car is falling apart and you need to sell it. What's more, it won't be worht much because of all the little things that need to be fixed.
In fact, if you fix those little things as they happen, the car will go well over 100K miles and you'll still be happy with it. When things break, FIX them! You'll be happier, and the car will last longer.

well first of all...a door hinge is easy enough to fix.....my door hinge missing a piece dosen't constitute an engine issue....it not going to effect the overall running of my vehicle....the fuel sending unit is going to do nothing but make me eventualy run out of gas....(that's what trip meters are for....it's a truck.....it's just a vehicle....little things don't usualy make it stop running....the hood release...who the heck cares if I have to use a pliers to open it....it opens....and that's what matters.....I love my truck just the way it is....it makes it my truck...I have already gotten my money out of it......if you are afraid to break it...why buy it?........enough said...it's a circle of life...you buy it..fix it up....it runs it's course...and then it returns to the way it was....
All the stuff you are listing wrong with yours is wrong with mine too. I don't need the pliers yet to open the hood, but it doesn't always open when I pull the handle.
Between the Blazer and my other 2 cars, I am ALWAYS fixing something. Fixing stuff is fun though
