driver door

Default driver door

Hi I have a 1999 blazer, when the door is opened it lags down, and when I close it I have to push this thing up, otherwise it gets stuck and I cant close the door, can anyone tell me the problems and what tools I need. Here is the pic of the thing that gets stuck

The problem is not with the latch, but with the hinge at the front of the door. Hopefully the door pins have not eaten completely through the bushings and started to eggshape the holes in the hinge. I say this because to effectively repair the hinge, you would need to replace it and they are welded on.

Start with a hinge pin & bushing set. Search on here for tips on how to fix this.
