Exclamation Driver wiper arm

Hello everybody

I have a problem with my wiper arm when it is raining and I switch wiper on the driver side wiper not touch the windshield so, I forced to drive with water and fog on driver side of windshield and I can see only from the passenger side because it wipe well and some times when I switched them off the both wipers stuck in up position and I switch on off two times then it return to the initial position .

Anyone had this problem before? because I try to bend it and it touch with windshield and wipe well but it again not wipe after the same day that I bend it ?

thank you

I just went through this with my blazer. I needed new blades and it took three tries to get a brand/model/size that lies flat on the glass and wipes properly:

Amazon Amazon

Fog on the glass is a different problem.

I went through this just the other week. Brand new RainX monoblade wipers at $20 a piece and the driver's side was useless lol.

The fix was to bend and put a slight arc in the arm. Arched in the same curvature as the windshield. It allowed the blade to pivot enough to make full contact with the glass.

My wiper was already new and it was ACDELCO and until now the driver side looks like new because it never touch with the glass . The fog problem not happen for me only in winter it happen also for me in summer at night when my A/C is switch on it start from defrost grill and the fog continue spread around windshield slowly.

But some times If I bend it and I open the hood it hit with the wiper arm which peeling the paint. Or maybe the point I was bending it is incorrect.

thanks for all

One of the blades that I tried that did not work was AC Delco.

Yeah maybe it is from blades of the AC Delco because when I go to auto store they just check length of it and then they give me two wiper blades with same part number. When I do my own research I found the original wiper have two different part number the passenger side wiper blade part number not same like driver side part number.

I had a problem with the rear wiper on the civic I used to have, didn't stay on the glass...

Searching up on those forums, I found that there was a spring at the base of the arm, which over time, there's a little metal piece that held one end of thw spring. That got week over time and bent out of alignment, and did not pull on the arm correctly anymore...

My blazer was doing this same thing. New wipers didn’t fix it and I did not want to bend the arm. Come to find out upon a have to situation in a rain storm that the nut holding the arm on keeps working loose. Tightened up and no more problems since

I had this problem, was able to bend the driver side arm so it works but still leaves some rain on the glass. I can see the arm sticks up now about 1/2 inch more than the other one. Probably need a new arm but I saw a post here where the guy pulled the arm and saw the pin that holds the spring was pulled out of position. When he put it back the wiper laid flat.
