Default dropping fuel tank

I am dropping myfuel tank on my 2000 blazer 4x4. I wanted to know is there a picture step by step out on this site to fix the sending unit. Every time my fuel gauge says its empty and i fill the tank it only takes 14 gallons of gas at the most. 1. what could this be and 2 is it hard to drop the tank.

My fuel gauge is about the same. I'm in no way going to change anything. If it was empty & showed a 1/4 of a tank I might worry about it.
As for dropping the tank as long as you drain all the gas out it isn't that hard.

1) Your float may be out of adjustment. You'll have to bend the arm and a little could be a lot.
2) I don't think the tank is hard to drop but I've done quite a few.
You'll have to search the site for a step by step. I've never needed one. It's pretty straight forward. Just take your time and make sure you have everything unhooked. And pull the left rear tire. You'll be glad you did.

It's a pretty easy and straight forward job. Just remember to unhook the batt., relieve fuel pressure at the fuel rail, and don't for get to hook up the grounds (There is a ground strap at the filler neck that bolts to the top of the frame, this bolt also secures the ground for the fuel pump), it's hard to see and there is enough play in the wires to run the bolt in from the bottom side of the frame rail, much easier to get to. Just don't forget the pump ground. Also it makes things easier if you remove the filler neck from the plastic shroud that mounts it to the body. If your tank is empty one man can do it with ease. just don't miss the pump ground.

My tank was mounted in the rear. I know some models are along the frame rail but should be straight forward. Just make sure to hook up the ground wires.
