Hey Guys,

Just a quick question, I am burning through these Fuel Pump Relays like a kid in a candy store. Well its only one pin on the relay that is getting chard every time. If you look at the Relay its Pin 87 which I believe switches between The Battery Power/ECM and Pump as well as the Prime Connector. Any reason you guys can think these things would be burning up like this, and why on just that one pin?

The mating socket may have a loose 'female' connector. A loose connector will cause overheating (that's how aluminum wiring burned houses down and many rear window defoggers' terminals get cooked and melted).

You may have to replace the receptacle that the relay mounts into. As stated above, the corresponding terminal is either loose or corroded. You may be able to push the terminal out of the block and clean the contact area, tighten up the fit and reinstall it. You may need to get some terminal release tools to make the job easier.
