i have a 2001 jimmy and it has a display on the ceiling with direction, temp, mileage, etc. ive noticed that the mileage number has never changed whether i drive a lot of highway or city. whats the deal?

 

If it has never been reset, it probably would not change much given that it is a straight up average of mileage since last reset. So say it was never reset and you have 100k miles, that is your average over those 100k miles. It would take a significant change in mileage to register.

Hold both buttons down at the same time and it will reset.
