Emergency Brake

Default Emergency Brake

My emergency brake pedal will not lock down. Please help.

Hmm only thing I know of would be to check the cable, Im not exactly sure where to tell you to look but if you crawl underneath you should be able to trace it back, and if it looks ok there take the kickplate off your dash and look in there.
Im sure someone w/ more knowledgethan mewill come along if this doesnt help

If the lever is not locking, that is a failure of the lever itself.

Yup, the foot pedal assembly needs replacement!! I have done a few of them on these S Series. Just get a new assembly and replace it, that is all you can do.
