Engine misfire 1997 Blazer 4x4 4.3
I noticed a ticking like a stuck lifeter in the #1 cylinder a few weeks ago. While accelerating onto get on the highway it starting misfiring and sputtering and the check engine light started flaqshing. I had it towed home and found
the rocker arm off the lifter and a bent push rod in the #1 cylinder. i changed the arm and the rod.I drove the whole next day with no lifter noise or check engine light. After about 10 minutes of driving the following day it started misfiring again and check engine light flashing but no lifter ticking. I changed the rotor and distributor cap and still the same misifre. I did notice that the far back threads to the back of the distributor base doesnt get real tight when threading in the torque screw. I am baffled. PLEASE ADVISE.
