So I have a broken driver side motor mount and probably passenger side too. I have the mounts and I plan to tackle it sometime this summer. I can probably figure it out on my own, which is the plan. However, I would like to find a write up on it to save myself some time and frustration. Does anyone know of a write up anywhere on how to do the mounts? I searched the site but couldn't find anything and I couldn't find anything on YouTube or Google either. I think this would be useful for not just myself but anyone who wants to tackle this job. Any help is appreciated.

 

Pain in the A$$....I did it on 2002 Sonoma and remember having a hell of a time getting the mounts out and aligning the bolts back in.... u will need to to get the weight of the engine off to fit everything back in...I remember using a small bottle jack to help me out.... goooooood luck and don't try in the driveway at plus 90 outside or the curse words will be at an all time high!!!!!

 

I am just wondering if it is worth paying $280.

 

If u have a job that u can work overtime at and make that money in a day then it's a no brainer to do that....but if u don't and don't really have that kind of money kicking around then it is a job that can be done.... just take your time...soak bolts with lubricant and move things out of the way to make the removal of the bolts easy so installing them back in will be easy as well

 

I have a shop that is going to do them along with my state inspection & emissions for $300. I am going that route. I have to supply the parts which i have already.
