Default Engine Serial

Hi guys

I need to find out the block id on my 1995 LT 4 door 4x4 blazer. It has the horizontal distributor cap.

What I really need to know is where to find this sucker so I can order a rebuild kit for it.

according to the chevy dealer, it is on top of the engine, next to the dizzy hole, there should be a working order number, and underneath that is another number. that is your engine code number it is the lower number on mine it is 2517655

You also need the other numbers below that are not cleaned off.

The top number is the firing order. The bottom number is the part number for the intake manifold, not the block. You need the number off the block. This link will help you find what you're looking for: Rebuilding the New Chevy 262: Engine Builder
