Default Evap canister

Recently had dreaded po446 code a couple times on my 2001 GMC Jimmy 4x4, 2 door. I am a bit confused on where the evap canister is, I was told it is blocked by the garage I took it too. I noticed it is different then the 4 door blazer I have had in the past, just want to make sure. Thanks.

P0446 is a problem with the EVAP vent valve solenoid and or its circuits, not the canister. On your 01 2 door, the vent valve is located on the frame crossmember, just in front of the fuel tank. Follow the flow chart in this thread and it will take you to the problem: https://blazerforum.com/forum/diagno...plained-35143/

I had a shop tell me the canister was bad or plugged which is what is causing the code. I do not know, I was trying to find out for sure basically, I see the tank wondering if the canister is right next to the tank tucked up behind the drivers rear tire.
