Default Ex. Manifold Alignment new Long Block

1995 GMC Jimmy SLT 4 X 4 4.3 L

I have just partially installed my ( original ) OEM Exhaust Manifolds onto my "new" Remanufactured Long Block.
The Manifold Bolt Holes for # 5 and # 6 Cylinder's Exhaust Ports are slightly off in alignment.
Alignment Measurement difference ( approx. 2/16 in. ) is severe enough that this is
going to require to bore oversize two bolt holes in ea. Exhaust Manifold.

suggestions ... anyone been in this situation . . .

Default

Can not beleive the head bolt spacing can be that far off that I need to bore the
original equipment Exhaust Manifold ?
Can the fact that it is not fully assembled with bolt threads still on sides of the
Exhaust Manifold bolt holes - ( ie.) the difference in spacing between bolt threads hitting the sides of the bolt holes ( partially assemble ) vs only the sleeve of the
bolts hitting the sides of the Exhaust Manifold bolt holes ( fully assembled ). ?
Yes - Bolt threads are slightly thicker in diameter than the bolt sleeves which
extend from the bolt head to the threads.
