Where is it rubbing (think of the fan shroud as the face of a clock, looking at it from the front of the truck towards the back)?

How did you determine that the motor mounts are good?

I agree. If it is hitting anywhere from 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock, it definitely sounds like a motor mount has started to give up.

On my old 95 POS, we changed the water pump, and the fan started rubbing the shroud(but ONLY while driving, not idling[thus making finding a fix much harder]). Adjusted that freaking shroud, like 10 times.....the only thing that finally fixed it, was adding some washers in between the bolts, extending the "open space".

I see so many people asking about 95's here. My advice? Don't make it look like arson!
