Default Fast idle on start-up

On my 99 blazer w/4.3 I used to have the fast idle on initial start-up and then it would idle down after a few seconds but now it just starts at idle. What should I be checking. Thanks-Russ

Do you think that is a problem?

Yes, seeing that I had a fast idle on a cold start-up before

So idling at the proper level when you start it up now, to you, indicates that there is a problem. To me, it sounds more like you had a problem before that has now corrected itself. Maybe the IAC was getting stuck. Who knows. All I'm saying is that it sounds like it is acting normally now. If you really must tear something apart, a good throttle body cleaning shouldn't hurt anything.
