I was sitting at a stop light when the stopped truck behind me let off her brakes and rolled into me, hitting my spare tire and pushing in my rear hatch just a little, but enough that the glass hatch will not open, thus not letting me open the bottom hatch. Short of busting the glass so I can open the lower half and repair or even easier, replace with a scrap yard one, anyone have a better idea on how to get it open.

 

Try taking off the inside panel and pushing it out a bit?

 

try pulling on the glass handle while pushing the release
