Default a few annoying quirks

im havin a few small issues with my 2000 sls jimmy. the worst is an evap leak that i just cannot find. wondering if anyone has any suggestions? the next one is pretty puzzling when i start the truck i have 14.5 volts. after about twenty mins its down just under 14. if i drive three hours to my camp im down around 13. doesnt make much sense to me. truck feels pretty gutless untill i hit about 80kms/hr, except when the check engine light is on from the evap leak. lol again i dont understand. any suggestions would be really appreciated

Not sure about the EVAP issue, have you tried using the search function of this forum?

Regarding the volt gauge reading, that sounds normal to me. Mine does the same. Generally a battery needs a higher charge rate right after starting to replenish the charge that was lost during starting and sitting. Also, you'll notice a higher rate of charging during colder weather and when the engine and components are cold. Once warmed up, it doens't charge at a higher rate.

ya tried searching, found the schematic of the evap system. checked out what i could see didnt see anything suspect. tried an unlit propane torch still couldnt find anything. just wondering where other common leaks are. give me somewhere to start looking. as for the battery that makes sense i guess never noticed it on any other car
