Few questions on fuel system and transmission issues.
2001 LT 2wd 4d
1a) when i turn the key to the on position, on driver side beneath driver seat outside it has a quiet "kneeeeeeeeeeeeeee" sound for 2 seconds. Is this the fuel pump priming?
1b) if i try to turn the car over too fast it wont start on furst turn but always on second. however if i wait for the "kneee" sound to stop it always starts on first turn.
2) upon acceleration from stop (at a 1/3 fuel or below) i will stall out if accel too fast but not if accel slow and no problems when accel at cruising speed.
3) i had replaced the gas gauge "float" in the tank but gauge still isnt reading correct level. is there a way to "reset" the gauges or is there something else awry?
4) when accel from stop (moslty in morning or from long stop) will rev rather high before going into second

1a - sure sounds like the pump.
1b - sounds like you have a fuel leak. A fuel pressure test per the link in my signature will get to the bottom of that.
2 - could be a problem with the pump as well.
3 - A new pump will come with a new sending unit. Instructions for testing the gauge are around here somewhere. There is no 'reset' to the gauge.
4 - ... How high is 'rather high'?
