Hi there. Having difficulty figuring out how to screw this in. It looks like I have one fine thread license plate hole. Here is a pic...

My apologies. Been a long two days.

Here are some of that:

 

Somebody in the past has ran some self tapping screws in. Pretty sure the factory mount location for the front plate is the lower valance, not threaded into the steel bumper.

 

I was thinking same. If it is either missing some kind of front plastic piece (like, a license plate mount held in by the bigger fatter "screws" that aren't even really screws) or, if they just drilled a hole. As there seems to be a broken screw that is now a piece of metal. None of them seem to line up with the license plate holes..

Possible dumb question, but. Any fine threaded self-tappers to just make the new hole? Or, is there a specific mount.. and how did I do with the pic. I may throw up one more so you can see the whole front...

 

Pic worked good, definitely someone screwed it on at a "looks good location".

I think any will do if your making a new hole. I would go slightly above the existing holes so you dont see them, or see about finding a used liscense plate l
holder at a yard or such...

 

There should be a plastic license plate holder that attaches to the bumper. At least there is on my Jimmy.

^^ Yes.. It looks like somewhere along the way, a P/O took this off. Probably due to a Florida car.

The good news is.. Two long THIN self-tappers and a drill later, and at a location just under either the chrome strip or I forget.. It is now on there, and I owe you all a picture since it looks really, really good that way. My custom plate, too.
