I have a '95 Jimmy with a CPI Vortec. When I bought the truck I didn't notice the flex fan was on backwards. When I took it off and flipped it around, the blades hit my AC pulley. I know I need a spacer. From the water pump flange is about 5 1/2 inches, and I'm supposed to to take off 3 inches, leaving me the option to purchase a 2 and a quarter inch spacer kit.
First time doing this, so I have 2 questions... I have studs sticking out of the flange and the spacer kit comes with bolts, do I remove those studs and if so, how do I remove them?
Next, I noticed that I may need a flex fan spacer adapter, why would I need this? Do I need it or is the spacer kit enough?

Ok I'm going on the 1st to pull a clutch fan and shroud. What size wrenches do I need to break the fan clutch bolt?

The fan clutch but on mine was 36mm, but mine is an 02. Not sure if it makes a difference. Hope this helps.

1995 water pump is different from 1996 and later. Your fan clutch does not screw onto the front of the water pump. It attaches to the water pump with four studs, washers, and nuts - just like old times. This is why there are studs left in the front of your water pump. You will need the fan clutch, fan, and shroud from a 1995 Blazer. If you don't have all four studs, washers, and nuts in your vehicle, take what you need from the donor vehicle. Studs are removed by double-nutting them (Google it).

Bought these tools to remove the fan clutch at the salvage yard... Should these work? The fan clutch nut is 36mm and the wrench opens up to 38mm and the big screw driver is 16" long. Which way do I turn the wrench looking from the front of the engine?
