Default Front Brakes

I just got new front brake pads for my '97 Blazer and they seem to look a little different than the ones that I had previously installed. If I remeber correctly, the ones I installed a while back had two hook-like things at the top and a clip-like thing in the middle at the bottom, or something along those lines. However, the new ones don't have anything like that. All four of the new pads look the same and they're just the pad material on the metal piece. Is there any real differences, because I double checked and they are the correct pads. Thanks.

Have you tried to install them? If so, did they fit?
