Default Fuel mist/Brake light issue

Hello, I just got a 95 Jimmy, it has been sitting for around 2 years and needs a little tlc. My first problem is it has a fuel leak. I can see the gas mist out from under the driver rear door. It looks to me like a line between the tank and frame?? I can not really see anything. My plan if possible is to replace the bad section with steel and unions. If anyone has any tips or diagrams that would be very helpful, Thanks.

Also I have a brake light issue, only the third light works. The turn signals work, so I assume it has something to do with the broken hazard switch. Is there a way to bypass the hazards? I also noticed my turn signals work without the key on, never seen that not sure if its a symptom. Thanks

Sounds like you might get lucky with where the fuel leak is as that is right about where the fuel filter is. Only way to tell is get under there and find it.

Your tail light issue is directly related to the bad hazzard switch. Replace it and you should be good to go.

Yeah, I am going to look at it tomorrow, it would be great if I don't have to drop tank. It appears I will have to replace the switch, I was hoping to be able to bypass it some how. Thanks

Well the fuel line job was actually easier than I thought. Had to drop tank and replace from the sending unit to the filter. Now I have a problem with the oil filter adapter. I posted a thread about it.

Thanks, I still need to figure out that oil filter adapter. I think I am going to take it off and put it in a vice to get the old filter off. I am also thinking up a skid plate setup to protect it, that plastic piece broke my first trip off road.
