fuel psi test ?

thanks Capetian guess I know what I will be doing this weekend hope it holds to them.question how long do the factory pump last because when i drop the tank and if it the line you talking about not the pump would you go ahead and change the pump because it looks like the tank has never been drop and if show this pump has 250,000 plus mile on it.and what do you think about my question about the timing are do I need to start a new post on that.thanks for all this help it nice to know there are still people out their that are willing help a person out with out wanting something in return hopefully one day I can return the favor but it looks like your the man and all I can do is say THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AC Delco pumps are original equipment and they typically go 100K miles. I'd be real surprised, no, amazed, if yours is original. At 250K, it's probably on its second, maybe third pump. Aftermarket pumps will typically last anywhere from zero miles to however long they last, which is less than 100K miles Avoid aftermarket pumps on this vehicle.

As for the distributor drive gear making noise, I seriously doubt you'd hear it.

thanks will do, i guess have to dig into the weird noise later one thing at a time it been there since i bought it thought it was the cat then once i got it home found it wasn't maybe it a warp fly wheel because the engine has been changed and thank how ever work on it before didn't know what a torque wrench was every thing I've replaced was way over torque. show Ill just pull the cap some time this week and see if the time marks line up I've done did a search on here on how to .
