fuel pump
I wouldnt advise a junkyard pump. Most people cheap out and replace em with airtex etc then you go to get a pump and you pull a airtex and install it to find out it dies a week later then you have to do it all over again with a good new pump...
take it from me..been there...done that lol...
Buy a new AC DELCO or delphi pump. Or drive yours till it dies. I had a durango that had a pump that screamed. it lasted another 50k miles.

the truck has 270 000 kms on it so i dont feel the need to buy one brand new. i found an 04 with low km and can get the part for $20 instead of 300+ just wondering if will work. there is also a 98 and two 97s as well as 97 jimmy. should i play it safe(ish) and take the 98 pump?
but thanks i probably will go with the 98 pump
To find out if a pump is an exact match, go to Rockauto.com look up the part for your truck and click on part #. Popup shows other year/model fit
- Another problem is that sometime in the series, the elect connector changed and -assuming you still have the OE in there- you will need the new pigtail. It comes with a replacement pump.
If you get a junkyard pump and it doesnt say Delphi (OE) on it, I would pass on it. I dont think ACD replacements are labeled are they?
