My gosh, I am starting to get a bit ticked off at this Blazer!!! Started the truck a bit ago and it is acting up again... Thought it was just super low on gas a few days ago, which it was, but the problem went away. Makes no sense at all to me, what am I missing here? If it needs a tune up, why would it go away and then come back? Can a fuel pump act this crazy if it is going out? I am currently trying to help out a neighbor with his vehicle and now mine is acting bipolar again!!! The truck is sitting on half a tank of gas, so that rules out "low fuel" like before... I am putting it in the shop the next day or 2 because I am close to insanity over this 1 lol

I noticed when my pump went out in December, the 'hum' that the pump makes when it primes (key in on position) was getting noticeably louder.
Noticeably as in after it went out, I thought about it, and it was getting louder over the years....I just got used to it.
With the new fuel pump, I have been attempting to fill up when I hit the half way mark, and not park facing downhill.

Not too difficult of a fix. Much better with two people, assorted sizes of wood boards/blocks, and two jacks.

Rockauto has a killer deal on a new Delphi pump assembly right meow...like 110 bucks. I paid 250.

Quick question,
I just replaced my pump (o'rielly's cheapy), then again with a spectra two weeks later when the cheapy left me stranded.
Now the tach bounces, from the first minute with the new pump.
Ideas?

In the weeks before my pump went out the truck would buck with a momentary loss of pressure and then resume at 100%. Never got sluggish or had trouble starting. It died completely in the same instant fashion at highway speed. I’m sure they all die differently.

Mine started surging under acceleration, a few months before it gave out. Also, a constant whine (heard with door open).
After it was replaced along with new fuel filter, I noticed better gas milage.
