Fuel Pump Info

Can anyone answer if the Delphi FG0052 Fuel Module has a check valve. My 2001 Blazer 4.3 fuel pump went out . Thanks in advance

Every fuel pump on our trucks has to hold the line pressure after the pump energizes and so they all have some mechanism to prevent back flow into the tank. The pressure is also maintained at the other end of the line by the fuel pressure regulator at the intake end. You separate the two problems with the second part of the fuel pressure test at the fuel filter. Of course the fuel pump can fail by not pressurizing at all or insufficiently.
