Hi I got the parts to put together an adapter for the fuel pressure gauge to measure at the fuel filter.

Sadly enough no one describes how to assemble it. Ya I know, it's three parts, how had could be to figure out? As far as I can tell I need to cut off the factory flair end of the steel tube to slide the compression fitting adapter.

Can someone smarter than me post a picture of what the final assembly looks like or how to hack this together.

Also, my 1995 is a transition year and I'm not always 100% sure if the manual is right. Where is the fuel relay that primes the system at startup? I tested the three that are under the hood, against the firewall. There were all ok. I was hearing the ignition "click" but no voltage on the pump test wire and no start, I swapped out the two relays in the glove-box and it started. Which relay controls the pump at startup?

 

I used the adaptors in post 43 of the fuel pressure sticky. The relay is in the glovebox, I don’t know which one. Swap one at a time and see which one brings back fuel pressure function.

You would probably be better off buying something like this instead of making your own.

Post 11 of the fuel pressure sticky:

The 800-170 connects to the fuel filter outlet. The LFA116 connects to the 800-170. The LFA80 connects to the LFA116. The fuel pressure tester connects to the LFA80.

You have the LFA116 laying on the LFA80 bag and vice versa.
I've never made one but looks like you cut off the end of the 800-170 with a tubing cutter and shove it through the nut into the LFA-116 and tighten. Then you attach the LFA80 to the other end of the LFA116.

I got 80psi while running and 60psi after 10 minutes. I'm ready to call it good enough. ​​​​​​Didn't feel like dropping the tank again.

I'll order a relay now. All week my son had to use the test wire to get it started. When I checked up and it I could hear the relay click to prime but never heard the pump running.
