Default Fuel Pump Replacement

Sadly, This isn't the first time i've gone down this road with my Blazer. (3rd Time Actually) Basically my Fuel Pump is on its way out, and its worrying me. I now have a 02 S10 ZR5. After falling out of my chair looking at the prices of the fuel pump, I have 2 questions.

ACDelco or Delphi? Any difference, same company right?

I have delayed start, and stalling after starting in hot weather, sounds fuel pump related correct?

I've been meaning to replace the sending unit anyways, because I managed to break that, so I figure might as well do the pump as well, as I don't need to be stranded in the middle of a main highway again...

Truthfully I don't believe the hype behind the Delco/Delphi stuff I sell carter all the time and I've never had a problem with them going bad

I'm a do it yourself kind of guy but when my fuel pump started acting up this time, I chose to have the dealer do it. Although it is not a hard thing to do, it is a bit complicated with dropping the tank and all. The pump from the dealer has a lifetime warranty which was a big selling point for me. Paid for it once and never again.

Before you go and buy a new pump, you may at least want to run a fuel pressure test and make sure that is your problem first. I'm not sure if AC Delco and Delphi are the same company, but GM uses both in their vehicles. If you shop around you can find decent prices online. I bought a new Delphi fuel pump for my 2000 ZR (part# FG0072) for $275 shipped to my door.
