Default Fuel Tank Connection

I had to pull the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump. However, I failed to see a line at the front of the tank. When I dropped the tanked it hung up on the front line and broke the fitting. Anyone know what this is and can it be replaced. It does not look like it can and looks like the whole tank will have to be replaced. It's a 98 Blazer 4WD

Thnx

I researched this part and it does not look exactly like mine, but this is not uncommon. Was your tank metal or plastic? Mine is plastic and 18 gallon. Do you know if this part will still work?

Thnx Again

Anyone know if the vent valve is replaceable or where to get a new valve or tank? Mine has a broken vent valve stem. I have done several searches and cannot find a plastic tank.

I have the plastic gas tank from my 98 Jimmy for sale, in Bloomington, IN. $65, plus shipping(or free pickup).
This board won't let me post a link to my Craigslist ad. If you'd search Indianapolis CL auto parts, and search "Jimmy gas tank", you should find it. Or PM me for a pic.

To mrafindley
Was the new valve significantly smaller diameter at the top? The one in the tank looks to be about 2" diameter and the new is only about 1 1/4" diameter. I have yet to get the old out to see the actual hole size. Any special trick in getting it out?

Thnx for your input
Very Helpful
