My truck has a 32 gallon tank and gets about 580 miles out of a tank. That's not bad considering it's a big truck and I have a heavy foot.
I have to say that I love the 4.3 liter engine. I had heard good things about it and they're all true. It's not horrible on gas and has plenty of power. I drove an hour and a half with an engine and transmission in the bed and got great gas mileage and didn't even notice the extra weight.

I'm a high schooler too. I bought my blazer, and pay for my gas and insurance, so i have a pretty light foot. I'm not the guy that does 5 under everywhere, i just don't drag race to a red light, and i get pretty good gas mileage, about 100 miles on 8.5 gallons at my last fill up, which is about 12 mpg, which still isn't that bad, considering all the snow donuts i did that week.

I just got 15 MPG (93 CPI), well below the norm. I'm attributing it to the fact the it is freezing cold and I generally allow about 10 minute warm ups before I leave in the morning, that and the fact that the clutch fan, when so cold, is engaged at low RPMs putting extra drag on the engine. I did a CPI swap and Nut kits about two months aago, as soon as I bought the vehicle. I pulled the IMV out last night and it appeared a bit moist on the regulator side of the motor. I'm hoping this hasn't already gone to leaking, although the part is still under warranty.

I get about 13-15 mpg with my s10(150 miles or so). My blazer only go 13 mpg on my road trip last summer.
